Hello everyone and welcome to Day 2 of the 2026 Climate Change-Makers Challenge!!

We have a day packed full of some wonderful events, mentorship, and workshops for y'all ahead. As always, the link for the Day can be found on our events schedule (linked here). Our first session: Meet-and-Greet + Design Thinking & Ideation starts in 1 hour (5 am EDT, 9 am GMT, 2:30 pm IST) and is a great chance to get to know other participants, for help finding teammates, and to learn more about the core principles of human-centered design.

Next up after we have our second session: Project Management: Planning Out Action Steps for this CCM Weekend where you can learn how clear project scoping is essential to understanding challenges before you tackle them. This session is held at 9 am EDT (1 pm GMT, 6:30 pm IST).

Our third session talks about how meeting eco-anxiety with compassion can transform that feeeling of overwhelm into resilience. This session is called Rooted in Resilience: Eco-Anxiety & Mental Health. It is being held at Noon EDT (4 pm GMT, and 9:30 pm IST).

This morning from 8-9:30 am EST, we also have a fantastic mentor who is excited to meet with some of y'all! Safran is a marine scientist and Director of TERANGI with 15+ years in coral reef and blue carbon conservation. He is currently developing Indonesia's first seagrass-exclusive carbon project and AI-based monitoring systems. You definitely don't want to miss the chance to book a mentorship session with Safran!

From 1-2:30 pm EST we also have another fantastic mentor who is available to meet with some teams! Alexandro is a Project Director at AB Telecom where they develop solutions based on AI as well as a Project Manager at Virtualx Technologies. He also volunteers with HACK Crisis Management Platform (GER) and has a breadth of experience in education, databases, and recruitment.
